Red wines are those made mainly from red grapes. Regarding the tonality, the tones range from violet to russet. These tones will depend on several factors such as the grape variety or the vinification process, among others.
In the Valdeorras D.O. the most famous red wines are those made from the mencía variety, although tempranillo, brancellao, merenzao, sousón, caíño tinto, espadeiro and ferrón are also red varieties in the area.
